No! The Smart Card ensures category exclusivity. You will be the only business of your kind (e.g., only one real estate agent, pizza restaurant, one salon, one plumber etc.) featured on the mailer, so you won’t have to worry about competing with other local businesses for attention. and to answer your next question: Nope! - having multiple businesses on the Smart Card does not take away from your offer when exclusivity exists. Residents look forward to the deals coming from The Lowcal Spotlight and typically scan all offers. Actually, since they know we vet our businesses we advertise on the Smart Card, they may be more inclined to use your services being referred in our mailer rather than a stand alone solo direct mail or social media campaign for your business.

With five distinct mailing territories in Hilton Head, Bluffton, Okatie, and Beaufort covering over 50,000 households and 100,000 residents, each mailing reaches 2,500 to 10,000 households (circulation depends on choice of advertiser) or approximately 5,000 to 20,000 people per campaign. And because the Smart Card is so large, it commands attention. We focus on distributing The Smart Card to the best neighborhoods in town, specifically high-income, high-traffic areas where residents are more likely to engage with your business. Unlike Val-Pak, RSVP and other co-op efforts, there are no envelopes to open, no pages to flip through, and no competing messages to distract from your offer. Each Smart Card campaign is 4 weeks. In this time frame, the Smart Card will be mailed to 2,500 to 10,000 local resident households in the neighborhoods of your choice. The Smart Card digital directory will be advertised through social media ads such as Facebook and Nextdoor. The Lowcal Spotlight Smart Card has a total of 10 mailings per year along with weekly follow-up email sequences to subscribers further promoting your business during each campaign ensuring exposure month after month.

There’s no long-term commitment or contract. Cancel when you wish. However, we suggest no less than 2-3 consecutive campaigns in order to test your ad and maximize exposure. We just ask for a courteous 30 day notice if you won’t be renewing so we have time to fill your spot without affecting the other advertisers.
