What is the lowcal Spotlight?
The Lowcal Spotlight is a digital mailer we dubbed the "Smart Card". It features the best local businesses around town. The Lowcal Spotlight Smart Card you received in the mail was born to support local businesses in the LowCountry. Hence "Lowcal". It's a large 9x12 postcard that is mailed to the residents of the LowCountry that offers discounts at multiple local businesses such as retail stores, restaurants, entertainment venues, golf courses, and home services that we all use.
The goal is simple: unite local (non-competing) businesses to share marketing costs to effectively increase exposure in the most affordable way possible for small local businesses. These local business owners offer discounts to bring awareness and value to the area's residents in order to gain or retain their business.
We dig deep to find the best deals from the top businesses in the LowCountry! From retail shops and restaurants that are the talk of the town to home service providers that are the most referred and trusted experts in the area. As the month and seasons change so do a lot of our individual needs so check us out every month to discover new offers from these and other businesses.
The Lowcal Spotlight is invitation only for local businesses. A business must meet certain criteria such as good reviews and reputation, to name a few. Our goal is to bring value by recommending good businesses to area residents just like you while at the same time helping local businesses grow. So join the movement and support "Lowcal" businesses in the Lowcountry!
How Does it work?
Each month The Lowcal Spotlight is mailed to residents throughout the Hilton Head, Bluffton, Okatie, and Beaufort areas. There are typically 18-24 businesses with discounted offers for residents. However, it's not just a postcard, we call it a Smart Card.
With your phone camera, scan the QR code for mobile coupons on the smart card. Click on "select your offers". You will then have the opportunity to select your offers on the Smart Card.
Select the offers you are more than likely to use that month or in the near future then click to claim all offers you selected. Once claimed, the offers will be sent to you by email and/or text.
You will need to provide your contact info in order to claim the offers since they are sent by email and/or text. It's also recommended to put your birthday in when you sign-up as well. We like to send great deals during your birthday month!
After sign-up, an account is created for you and all the offers you've selected are housed in our coupon app for convenient access all in one place at your fingertips. No lost or forgotten coupons anymore!
To redeem the offers, show a staff member your coupon before check-out and click redeem.
That's it! Then look for us each month for more deals from these and other businesses!
